# Bandwidth used between Sensor and Brain

* The bandwidth of traffic sent from a sensor to its brain is expected to be a small proportion of the traffic received by the sensor.
* This proportion may vary significantly by the application profile of that traffic and cannot be precisely quantified or predicted.
* However, the average traffic between the sensor to the brain is around .5% \~ 5% of the received traffic (This value varies significantly on each customer's environment).
* In case you receive an alert "Sensor bandwidth too low for complete metadata replication" this means a bandwidth issue between the Sensor and the Brain . The alert is triggered when the amount of time exceeds 100 minutes. A review of the bandwidth between sensor and brain is recommended.
