Appliance support policies, End-of-Sale (EOS) announcements, and End-of-Sale/End-of-Life (EOL) dates for Vectra appliances.
Please Note:
As a general rule, and subject to circumstances beyond our control, Vectra provides at least 3 months’ notice prior to an appliance’s End-of-Sale date or the last date it can be ordered.
This notice will appear in the Appliance EOS and EOL Dates table below, and we encourage you to check it regularly for the latest status.
End-of-Sale Announcement - The date Vectra announces an appliance's End-of-Sale.
End-of-Sale (EOS) - The date Vectra stops selling an appliance.
End-of-Life (EOL) - The date Vectra stops supporting an appliance.
The appliance will no longer receive software updates, patches, new features, algorithm enhancements, bug fixes, or any other updates.
The appliance is no longer eligible for technical support.
The appliance is no longer covered under hardware warranty (RMA or spare parts).
Vectra appliance support consists of two parts:
Software Support which includes:
Access to software updates, patches, new features, algorithm enhancements, bug fixes, or any other updates.
Technical support.
Hardware Warranty which includes:
RMA or spare parts in event of hardware failure.
Software support is provided for at least 3 years from the EOS date for customers with a current and fully paid subscription and support license.
At EOL, no software updates, patches, new features, algorithm enhancements, bug fixes, or any other updates will be provided.
Please see the appliance EOS and EOL dates table below for specific details by model of appliance as some have EOL dates that are longer than 3 years from the EOS date.
The hardware warranty for appliances varies by date of purchase:
August 1, 2024 and later
Coverage lasts for 3 years from the date of appliance purchase or until EOL, whichever comes first.
Prior to August 1, 2024
Coverage continues through EOL, provided the customer maintains an active subscription from the date of purchase.
Please Note:
Vectra sales offers a 2-year hardware warranty extension for some appliances. This extends the RMA/spare parts coverage from 3 years to 5 years or EOL, whichever comes first.
If available, this must be purchased at the time of the original appliance purchase. Please contact your Vectra account team for details.
Best Practice:
Customers with older hardware platforms, especially those that are no longer under hardware warranty, are encouraged to contact their Vectra sales representative about upgrade options to the latest Vectra hardware.
Even if an appliance has not reached EOL and is still receiving updates, a preferred option for some customers is to replace out of warranty equipment to reduce the probability of hardware downtime and a loss of network visibility.
